Is God Tugging?

Feeling God tugging at your heart, but don't know what to do?

You are not here by accident. God has brought you here "for such a time as this." Maybe you have asked God into your heart years ago and have fallen away or you just desire a more intimate relationship with Him. Maybe you are here because you have never asked Christ into your heart, but desire that. Maybe you are here because you are saved and want to make a commitment to God and your future spouse to wait on Him and live in purity. Regardless of where you stand, I welcome you here. In Romans 5:8 the Word says, "But God demonstrated His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." You may ask, "Why did Christ die for us?" He died for us because Scripture declares "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23). Sin (Isaiah 59:2) separates us from God who is pure and Holy. (1 Peter 1:16) There is no amount of human work, goodness, morality or religious activity that can gain your acceptance in to Heaven. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "By grace you are saved through faith, and this is not of yourselves, it is a gift of God, it is not of works, so that no one can boast." We are all sinners (Romans 3:23) and the wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23) God had to send His only Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. (1 John 4:9-10) In John 3:16 it tells us that God loved us so much that He gave His only Son, Jesus, to bear our sin in His body on the cross and to die in our place so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. "By His wounds you are healed" (1 Peter 2:24). So what must you do to be saved, you ask? If you understand that you are a sinner, the wages of sin is death, you believe that Jesus Christ came as the Redeemer of Sin (Lamentations 3:58), and bore our sins on the Cross, and you are ready to repent of your sin and ask Christ into your heart as your Savior, then you are ready to receive God's gift of His Son. (Romans 10:9-13) Pray this: "God, I know that I have broken Your laws and that my sin has separated me from You. I repent of my sins and ask for Your forgiveness. Please forgive me. I believe that Your Son, Jesus Christ, died for my sins, was buried and was resurrected from the dead and now sits at Your right hand. (Romans 8:34} I believe He is alive and hears my prayers. I invite You, Jesus, to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. I thank You for Your blood that was shed for my sins. Please send Your Holy Spirit to help me to obey You, to know and do Your will, and to guide me all the days of my life. In Jesus' name, Amen." (Acts 2:38) If you decided to receive Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and have repented of your sins and confessed Him as your Lord and Savior and asked Him in your heart then you are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17) and have become a child of God. (John 1:12)
Now what do I do you ask? 1. Follow up on your commitment. The Bible commands us to get water baptized. 1 Peter 3:21 2. Spend time with God and in His Word every day and ask that God increase your faith.
Matthew 4:4, and Romans 10:17, Psalm 119:105, 2 Timothy 3:16 3. Seek fellowship with other believers. 1 Thessalonians 5:11, Hebrews 10:25 4. Find a church where you can worship and fellowship with other believers. 1 John 1:3 5. Tell others about your new faith in Christ. Romans 10:14 6. Renew your mind Romans 12:2 7. Lay aside your old self and lifestyle, and put on your new self, which is in the likeness of God.
Ephesians 4:22-24 8. You may have to close the door on some relationships that are poisonous to your new life. "Bad company corrupts good morals." 1 Corinthians 15:33 If you said the prayer, please leave your name (first name is ok) and the state you are from, so I can continue to pray for you.
